RECOMMENDED PLANT LIST

We will emphasize native and other drought-resistent perennials. We have found that divisions made in the fall give the best results for a well filled out, saleable plant in the time for the sale in April. We will be offering 4", 6" and gallon size containers.

Here are some suggestions of plants that are easily divisable in the fall:

  • Pacific Coast Iris (divide in Nov.-Dec.)
    Dianthus
    Eriogonum
    Stachys
    Gazania
    Tulbaghia (Society Garlic)
    Hellbores
    Ferns
    Heuchera
    Tiarella
    Hemerocallis (especially the newer cultivars)
    Thyme
    Oregano
    Artemisia
    Rosemary
    Convolvulus sabatius (ground morning glory)
    Ceratostigma plumbaginoides (Dwrf plumbage)
    Carex
    Campanula
    Grasses
    Geraniums and Pelargoniums
    Euphorbias
    Salvia
    Succulents
    And many more.

But if you have a good looking, saleable plant that doesn’t fit in our drought resistent category we’d love to have that too. Different strokes for different folks!

We have many succulents including dish gardens. We also hope to offer a range of herbs.
